Unveiling the Secret of Love in Space: A Guide for Vampire Survivors
Patch 1.13 of Vampire Survivors introduced a captivating challenge with the hint “Quickly break the bounds of space and find love.” This intriguing secret is nestled within the same patch that brought the Gaze of Gaea weapon and The Coop map. Achieving this secret is no simple task and might even require exploiting the game mechanics depending on your character selection.
Our Vampire Survivors guide will walk you through glitching past wall barriers to discover the secret heart in Space 54, unlocking both the “quickly break the bounds of space and find love” secret and the Space Dette character.
How to Escape the Map in Vampire Survivors
To unlock this secret, venture beyond the normal limits of Space 54 to uncover a hidden area. Two main approaches can lead you to this secret: use a character like Gyoruntin, which can “ignore walls,” or opt to glitch through the wall. My attempt with Ghost Lino from the Among Us DLC didn’t yield results due to unknown factors, so I chose the latter option. Surprisingly, glitching through the wall proved to be easier than expected.
It’s advisable to first unlock Space Dude by surviving for 20 minutes on Space 54. Whether the secret only appears once Space Dude is unlocked remains uncertain, but we discovered it thereafter, so it’s a safe bet. We used Space Dude to explore out of bounds, but others have succeeded using various characters.
After completing Space 54 once, venture to The Coop map (unlocked by collecting 500 Floor Chickens in Vampire Survivors). Proceed right until you find the Roast Chicken with a Clock in the Middle, which significantly boosts game speed.
Once ready, use Space Dude, select Space 54 (ensure Hyper mode is activated), and enter the map. Maximize game speed and move to a corner of the starting platform as shown in the image above. By increasing game pace through Hyper mode and the speed boost, you’ll create a situation where too many on-screen enemies cause the game to glitch. Continue pressing against the wall, allowing enemies to approach. Eventually, the chaos will allow your character to clip through the wall, setting you free into space.
Locating the ‘Quickly Break the Bounds of Space and Find Love’ Secret
After clipping through the bottom right wall in Space 54, head southeast from the main platform. Your small star on the map should appear just below and to the right of the merchant’s hand, as illustrated in the image above.
Search for a pink platform floating in space with a pulsing heart resting atop it — identical to the Pummarola passive item. Retrieve it to unlock the “quickly break the bounds of space and find love” secret, enabling the purchase of Space Dette, Space Dude’s partner.
Space Dette starts with the Photonstorm weapon, and her passive abilities include a growing strength for her starting weapon as she levels up, gathering more “fans” from defeating numerous enemies, and a 40% increase in movement speed.
