Mythic Quest Bows Out: An Unfinished Adventure

Blue Prince

The Tomb serves as an Outer Room filled with secrets in the game Blue Prince. You need to solve its main puzzle to proceed to Room 46. Inside, you’ll discover Sinclair family relics, stone coffins, and various candles. Most intriguingly, angel statues are spread throughout the crypt, which you can interact with. When an angel statue is manipulated, its arm moves, suggesting that these statues form a puzzle.

Here’s how to solve the Tomb puzzle in Blue Prince and uncover additional secrets within the room.

Solving the Tomb Puzzle in Blue Prince

Upon entering the Tomb, you’ll notice familiar angel statues. If you’ve observed the Chapel, there are seven stained glass windows each featuring an image of an angel statue found in the Tomb. Numbers below these windows, ranging from one to seven, indicate the order of the angel statues.

To save time, we provide the angel statue order along with a gallery:

  1. Gardener – Wearing a rimmed hat and holding a hoe.
  2. Chef – Sporting a chef hat and holding a pizza peel.
  3. Farmer – With a cowboy hat and a rake.
  4. Chimney Sweep – In a top hat wielding a brush.
  5. Maid – Wearing a bonnet and holding a broom.
  6. Jockey – With a riding helmet and a racing whip.
  7. Queen – Crowned and carrying a scepter.

After interacting with each statue in the specified sequence, you’ll unveil a secret passageway leading to the Catacombs, containing another angel statue of a more somber nature. This statue will open a path to the Abandoned Mine upon interaction.

The Tomb is a trove of numerous secrets, and many spoilers follow from here on.

Additional Tomb Secrets in Blue Prince

There are two further puzzles within the Tomb: ruby socketed candlesticks and the natural order of Angel Statues.

By consulting Drafting Strategy Volume 4, you learn that lighting the ruby socketed candlesticks sets off a mechanical reaction. While their specific locations are not well documented, two sets are inside the Tomb, concealing hidden mechanical triggers.

The Angel Statues opened the Catacombs, but after solving the map pin puzzle and reading Herbert Sinclair’s will, you realize another natural order exists to uncover more secrets.

We will outline solutions to both puzzles below.

How to Light the Candles in the Tomb

Within the Tomb, you’ll find two sets of ruby socketed candlesticks. To ignite these, you need a magnifying glass combined with a metal detector, forming the Burning Glass. Alternatively, a Torch from the Armory is usable, available only with the Knight’s Power.

Using either the Burning Glass or Torch, light both sets of candles to reveal treasures like an Upgrade Disk, a Mora Jai puzzle box, an Erajan letter, and Lady Epsen’s Diary Key.

Ajeran Angels’ Natural Numerical Order

Following the completion of the map pin puzzle in Room 46, you find Herbert Sinclair’s will discussing the natural numeric order of the Ajeran Angels: Orinda, Lydia, Rynna, Joya, Dauja, Veia, Mila, and Draxus.

With another order for the angel statues, you have to interact with each again, following their natural order. Without the correct names of each statue, you won’t unlock the secrets. These names are found in assorted locations throughout the house.

Here’s the list of angel names in order:

  1. OrindaQueen with a crown and scepter.
  2. LydiaJockey with a riding helmet.
  3. RynnaGardener with a hoe.
  4. JoyaChef with pizza peel.
  5. DaujaFarmer with rake.
  6. VeiaChimney Sweep with brush.
  7. MilaMaid with broom.
  8. DraxusSkeleton reaper with scythe located in the Catacombs.

After following the natural numeric order, the wall behind the Draxus statue lifts, unveiling the eighth stained glass window and the original manuscripts of “The Red Prince” and “A New Clue.”
