According to those familiar with the matter, it included his wife and approximately a dozen other individuals from his personal and professional network, established in January prior to his confirmation as defense secretary. The chat was titled “Defense | Team Huddle,” and Mr. Hegseth utilized his personal phone to access the Signal platform instead of his government-issued device.
