Anime Meets Innovation: $1 Million Prize for Creative Collaborators in New AI Series

Morphic, an innovative AI startup, is making waves in the anime industry with the launch of its original series, DQN, alongside a $1 million creator fund designed to support the next wave of global storytellers.

Established in 2024 by Jaynti Kanani, the former CEO of blockchain leader Polygon, Morphic is creating a cutting-edge production studio that integrates AI technology with sophisticated storytelling. With offices in San Jose, New York, Dubai, and Bangalore, the company is venturing into the entertainment sector, beginning with anime.

Their inaugural project, DQN, is brought to life by Kushagra Kushwaha, a Tokyo-based Indian filmmaker known for works such as JoJo’s Stone Ocean (Netflix) and Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest (available on Amazon, Apple, Crunchyroll, and Roku).

About DQN

Set in a dystopian cyberpunk future dominated by decentralized networks and AI overlords, DQN chronicles the journey of 12 individuals engaged in a perilous race to uncover a secret vault capable of “rewriting the rules of power.” The series aims to merge traditional anime storytelling with AI-driven production techniques to expedite development and connect with audiences around the globe.

  • AI-Powered Production: DQN employs Morphic’s proprietary AI technology to streamline animation processes and enhance storytelling efficiency.
  • $1M Creator Fund: Morphic is committed to investing in emerging talent worldwide to foster new anime, live-action films, games, comics, and manga.
  • Global Reach: The fund welcomes creators from diverse backgrounds, focusing on unrepresented voices and markets.

Creators’ Perspectives

“Kush is an exceptionally talented filmmaker with a profound grasp of anime as an art form,” stated Kanani. “We’re excited to have DQN as our debut series and to kick off our creator’s fund aimed at nurturing bold, original perspectives.”

Kushwaha remarked, “I’m passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technology to bring stories like DQN to a global audience. With Morphic, we are not just narrating stories; we are revolutionizing their creation.”
