Apple has requested that a judge suspend an order mandating the company to relinquish control of App Store payments while it appeals the ruling. In a filing made on Wednesday, Apple argued that the order imposes “extraordinary intrusions” that could lead to “serious and irreparable harm” to the company.
In its motion to pause the order, Apple stated, “Removing Apple’s control over essential features of the App Store alone justifies a stay. The new regulations significantly undermine the cohesive iOS ecosystem that this Court has deemed lawful, which is crucial for maintaining user trust and confidence in the App Store.”
