The Technology
Baidu’s proposed system would gather data from animal vocalizations, body movements, and biological signals. This information would then be integrated and processed by an AI model specifically trained to recognize emotional states.
These identified emotional states could eventually be expressed in human language, enhancing “cross-species communication.”
As of now, this is merely a patent application. A spokesperson from Baidu informed the media that the translator is “still in the research stage,” while also noting the significant interest generated by the filing.
