In the beloved board game Betrayal at House on the Hill, players embark on an adventure through a haunted house, collecting valuable items and enhancing their characters until the Haunt commences. At that point, one player turns traitor, either eliminating the others or enacting a dark ritual. Hasbro and Avalon Hill are now introducing a chilling new expansion themed around It: Chapter Two, titled Betrayal at the Neibolt House: The Evil of Pennywise, set to release on August 1.

Priced at $24.99, this expansion allows three to six players to take on the roles of Derry's residents as they explore new locations and gather film-inspired items before triggering one of five potential haunts. The players may ultimately need to band together to confront Pennywise, facing off against unsettling new miniatures, while the betrayer could end up guiding the Losers Club's foe, Henry Bowers.

Avalon Hill will also be showcasing Sanibel, the upcoming game from designer Elizabeth Hargrave, known for Wingspan and The Fox Experiment, which is expected to launch in early 2026. Located on Florida's Gulf Coast, Sanibel is famous for its seashells, with visitors often searching the shoreline at dawn to collect the best finds washed up by the waves.

In this new game, players navigate a board that simulates the beach, gathering sets of shells and shark teeth. They may find themselves racing to claim the best items or revisiting spots to collect treasures freshly uncovered by the surf. The game includes tiles laid out on a player mat designed to look like a bag, requiring careful attention to how each tile will be scored at the end. During a recent press conference, Hargrave mentioned that she employed the crowdsourced biodiversity tracker iNaturalist to ensure that the most popular types of Sanibel shells were accurately represented, while the inclusion of shark teeth pays homage to her father’s personal collection.
