During its annual Tudum event, Netflix unveiled new trailers for several of its highly anticipated feature films.
Among the highlights was the debut teaser for Guillermo del Toro’s live-action adaptation of Frankenstein, featuring an impressive cast that includes Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, Charles Dance, and Christoph Waltz. This adaptation will be available for streaming in November and marks another collaboration between del Toro and Netflix, following his acclaimed stop-motion film Pinocchio and the anthology series Cabinet of Curiosities.
Also featured at the event was Wake Up Dead Man, the third installment in the popular Knives Out murder mystery franchise, following the 2022 release of Glass Onion. Director Rian Johnson and lead actor Daniel Craig return, joined by a star-studded cast that includes Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Haden Church.
In addition to a short teaser trailer, Netflix announced that Wake Up Dead Man will start streaming on December 12th.
Taking a different approach, Netflix also shared a trailer for Happy Gilmore 2, the long-awaited sequel to the 1996 Adam Sandler comedy. This film is set to be one of Netflix’s major releases for the summer, streaming on July 25th.
Finally, for fans eagerly awaiting the third season of Squid Game, one last trailer was released ahead of its premiere on June 27th, which will conclude the series.
