The Gallery in Blue Prince features a room with four untitled paintings, which is an uncommon draft that I didn’t get until reaching both the Antechamber and Room 46.
Inside, you’ll need to name the four paintings to open two chests, ultimately granting you access to the elusive Room 8.
Our guide for Blue Prince will help you solve the Gallery painting puzzles and reveal your rewards.
How to Solve All Gallery Puzzles in Blue Prince
Upon acquiring the Gallery, you’ll find four nameless paintings by the game’s dedicatee, Christopher Manson. Each painting has a series of frames beside it. Naming the paintings correctly will unlock the room’s two chests.
The painting contents provide clues to solve the puzzles. You’ll notice that the painting titles consist of five, six, seven, and eight letters respectively. We’ll tackle them in that order.
Thick Gallery Painting Solution in Blue Prince
The first painting, with a five-letter title, displays the word "thick" on a pond with various distractions. Focus on the word, specifically its last letter. The word "thick" uses thick letters except for the final thin K. That’s your answer: THINK.
This title hints at the others, which are all related to the word "think."
Wagons Gallery Painting Solution in Blue Prince
The six-letter painting portrays two mirrored wagons full of red items, including a large letter P on one wagon. Observing the composition, you have a P ON RED things, with the P on the mirrored side. Mirroring RED gives the solution: PONDER.
Eyes Gallery Painting Solution in Blue Prince
The seven-letter painting mainly features eyeballs, along with words that provide clues: ACTUAL on a sign, GENU on a bottle (suggesting "genuine"), and a table made from the word VERI (the Latin root of "truth"). These are synonyms for REAL. Combine them with the EYES to get: REALIZE.
Infinity Room Gallery Painting Solution in Blue Prince
The final puzzle, with an eight-letter title, shows an infinity symbol in a room with various items like boxes, a painting, and a rug. Consider it collectively: a ROOM with fIN, pINs, skIN, and bINs labeled with sINs; also, the INfINity symbol resembles a sideways EIGHT. Combine them for: RUMINATE.
Gallery Rewards in Blue Prince
As you enter the painting titles correctly, the chests at the room’s center will unlock. The first two answers open the first chest, while the second pair opens the second chest.
The first chest contains standard loot like coins or gems. The second chest contains Key 8. Using that key on a locked door leads to Room 8, similar to the Secret Garden Key’s function.
