What’s New in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle for PS5?

The PS5 version of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle comes with several new features not seen in the Windows PC or Xbox Series X versions. These include DualSense haptic feedback and support from the PS5’s internal Community Game Help hints system. It is also a PS5 Pro Enhanced title, promising more stable frame rates at 4K resolution on the PS5 Pro.

While MachineGames has built a reputation for first-person shooters with its Wolfenstein series, Great Circle takes a different approach. It focuses more on meticulous exploration of environments like the Vatican or Giza and solving puzzles from a first-person perspective. Although there are guns in the game, the shooting mechanics are intricate, as is the hand-to-hand combat. Expect a stealth-focused immersive sim, distinct from other recent MachineGames titles.

The game excels, thanks largely to Troy Baker’s outstanding portrayal of Indy. Even Harrison Ford, who famously portrayed the character in five films, praised the performance. “If I’d have known he was so good, I’d have done it myself,” Ford remarked at the 2024 Game Awards.
