Nanoleaf’s latest innovation adds more than just illumination to a space. Similar to the company’s Expo Smart Display Cases, the new Pegboard Desk Dock is crafted for both organization and showcasing accessories like controllers and headphones. This is achieved through color-changing LED lighting that can sync with what you’re watching, playing, or listening to.
Nanoleaf refers to the Pegboard Dock as a contemporary twist on the traditional desk lamp, featuring 32 full-color LEDs that illuminate a desk while casting an ambient glow on the wall. One side showcases just the lighting, while the other includes a perforated cover and four adjustable support arms for holding devices like a handheld gaming console. A rotating mechanism allows you to switch which side is forward-facing.
The Pegboard Dock is equipped with three USB ports (one USB-A and two USB-C), plus another USB-C port for drawing power from an outlet. This setup enables charging at up to 15W and connecting accessories to a computer while on display, reducing cable clutter.
While connecting it to a computer is optional, doing so lets you control and configure the Pegboard Dock via the Nanoleaf desktop app. This app offers additional customization options such as preprogrammed lighting scenes that mimic a lava lamp or waterfall. The dock’s lighting can also mirror the colors and tones of a game by displaying your PC’s screen or sync to music through Nanoleaf’s Orchestrator feature, analyzing a song and its beats in real-time.
