Publisher Lost in Cult has announced the release of a seven-disc vinyl collection honoring the work of game designer Kenji Eno. The anthology, titled Kenji Eno 55: Soundworks, will feature 55 tracks from Eno’s projects, including those from games like Enemy Zero and D2.

As stated in a press release, the collection will comprise "remastered classic soundtracks, archival recordings, and previously unreleased tracks," reflecting the story of Eno’s career. Additionally, Lost in Cult plans to release individual soundtracks for Real Sound, Enemy Zero, and D2.

Kenji Eno, a designer and composer who founded Warp Inc. and From Yellow to Orange, was renowned for his unique approach to game design and marketing. His innovations included creating an audio-only game for the Saturn, personally delivering limited edition copies of Enemy Zero to fans, and famously altering the PlayStation logo to the Saturn logo at a PlayStation event to announce his switch from Sony to Sega.

Eno passed away in 2013 and would have celebrated his 55th birthday today.

In 2024, the YouTube channel Archipel released an almost 80-minute documentary examining Eno’s career, featuring interviews with a dozen of his friends, family, and colleagues, including Hideo Kojima and Fumito Ueda. It’s highly recommended for anyone interested in his legacy.

Pre-orders for Kenji Eno 55: Soundworks will be available starting May 5.
