The Alola starters are finally making their debut in Pokémon TCG Pocket. Alongside Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio, this latest expansion introduces more Alolan Pokémon, including the Legendary duo Solgaleo and Lunala.
The new Celestial Guardians expansion boasts over 200 cards, taking inspiration from the tropical setting of the Pokémon Sun and Moon games. It features Alolan versions of Kanto Pokémon, such as the surfing Raichu, the spectral Marowak, and my personal favorite, Goth Meowth, which is more of a lovely shade of purple than truly goth. Additionally, players will see cards of Alolan trainers, including Mallow, Lana, and Acerola, as well as an exciting new support card centered around Lillie.
The Celestial Guardians pack will launch on April 29 at 11:00 p.m. PDT. To celebrate the six-month anniversary of Pokémon TCG Pocket, a fresh set of missions and solo battles will commence on the same day. Players will also have the opportunity to earn new promo packs through solo battles, featuring a stunning Rayquaza ex card. More information can be found on the Pokémon website.
