According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios has revised the release dates for Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. The release of Doomsday has been shifted from May 1, 2026, to December 18, 2026, while Secret Wars will now debut on December 17, 2027, instead of its original date of May 7, 2027.
Marvel has confirmed that Doomsday will boast an extensive ensemble cast, featuring actors from previous Avengers films, recent Marvel releases, a number of X-Men, and even stars from this year’s Fantastic Four: First Steps. Reports indicate that Chris Evans is set to return for Doomsday, though his specific role remains undisclosed.
In place of Doomsday’s original May 1, 2026 release date, Disney will launch The Devil Wears Prada 2, as stated by THR. Earlier this month, Disney released Thunderbolts, with First Steps set to hit theaters on July 25th.
