On Tuesday morning, Bluesky, the social media platform, faced consecutive outages that hindered many users globally from loading their feeds.
Several team members at The Verge were unable to refresh their Bluesky feeds on both the desktop version and the mobile apps for iOS and Android. Interestingly, the site remained accessible for logged-out users, and some self-hosted users reported that they could still post to their decentralized servers despite the flagship app experiencing difficulties.
The cause of the outages is still unknown, and it remains uncertain when access to the platform will stabilize. However, during the disruptions, Bluesky’s status page indicated that “some systems” were offline. By 8:25 AM ET, the platform appeared to be functioning again, displaying green status indicators across all services.
