Dive into Destiny: Season 2 of The Sandman Reveals a Chaotic Family Reunion and Release Date

The Sandman is set to make its return for a second and final season, which will be released in two volumes this summer. The first volume will have six episodes, and the second will feature five.

The concluding season, true to the nature of many Sandman tales, will feature significant cosmic events, starting with a somber family reunion of the Endless gathered together. Alongside Dream (played by Tom Sturridge), familiar siblings from the first season, like Death (Kirby), Desire (Mason Alexander Park), and Despair (Donna Preston), will reappear. This season also introduces new characters: Destiny (Adrian Lester), Delirium (portrayed by Esmé Creed-Miles from The Legend of Vox Machina), and “The Prodigal” (Barry Sloane), a character recognizable to comic readers. If the storyline follows the comics, the siblings will embark on a road trip.

The new season isn’t limited to this arc alone. According to the trailer and previous casting news, several new actors will bring familiar characters to life: Clive Russell as Odin, Laurence O’Fuarain as Thor, and Freddie Fox as Loki. Additionally, Jack Gleeson, Ann Skelly, and Douglas Booth will portray faerie characters from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, namely Puck, Nuala, and Cluracan.

The Sandman Season 2 will be available on Netflix in two parts, with Volume 1 premiering on July 3, featuring six episodes, and Volume 2 releasing on July 24, concluding with five episodes.
