For pet owners and parents alike, cleaning can be a challenge. While you might already have a vacuum and a carpet cleaner like Bissell’s Little Green for tough stains, Eufy’s innovative Omni E28 floor-mopping robot vacuum simplifies the process. This device integrates a deep cleaner within its charging dock, allowing you to tackle messes that the robot itself cannot reach. The dock not only recharges the cleaner but also automatically empties wastewater, ensuring it’s always ready with fresh water for quick clean-ups.
The Eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E28 is available now for $999.99 through the company’s online store. If you already own a portable carpet cleaner, you can opt for the more economical Omni E25 for $899.99, which lacks the integrated deep cleaner and is currently available for preorder with shipping slated for June 2025.
Like other spot cleaners, the Omni E28 includes a portable deep cleaner equipped with a multi-function handheld tool. This tool sprays clean water to help lift spills or stains before vacuuming them into a separate tank. While the dock manages water tank emptying and refilling, the device itself requires manual operation for cleaning areas such as furniture and stairs that the robovac can’t access. Additionally, if the robot detects a liquid spill on carpets during its cleaning cycle, it will notify you to use the deep cleaner.
For other floor types, the Omni E28 performs exceptionally well. It automatically recognizes when it moves from hard surfaces to carpets, increasing suction power up to 20,000Pa to extract dirt from deep within fibers. A rotating brush on an extendable arm helps gather dust and debris from corners. Utilizing LiDAR and an AI-assisted camera, the robot can avoid obstacles and adapt its cleaning to 30 different dirt types. After completing a cleaning cycle, it uses the camera to conduct a dirt inspection to ensure thoroughness.
For hard floors, the Omni E28 utilizes a rolling mop that spins up to 180 RPM, effectively scrubbing away dirt and stains that cannot be vacuumed. It will automatically re-clean the area if a stain remains after the first attempt. With a powerful 5,200mAh battery, it can operate for 110 minutes when both vacuuming and mopping, or up to 180 minutes when just vacuuming.
You can manage the Omni E28 through Eufy’s mobile app, which displays a map of your home supporting up to five floors. Users can create custom cleaning schedules for specific rooms and times or set no-go zones to keep the robot out of certain areas during its cleaning routines. Furthermore, the Omni E28 is Matter-compatible, enabling you to initiate cleaning with voice commands via Siri, Google Assistant, or Alexa.
Along with emptying the robovac’s dirt bin into a three-liter dust bag, which can be used for up to 75 days before needing replacement, the Omni E28’s dock also manages the water reservoirs, refills the detergent tank, and cleans and dries the rolling mop using hot air at 122°F, effectively eliminating bacteria and reducing odors.
