In patch 7.25 of FFXIV, players can delve into the Occult Crescent, uncovering the mysterious ruins and creatures that inhabit the region. As you progress through the questline, you’ll need to locate specific survey points, which are marked as glowing icons on your map that you can interact with.
To access the 48-player dungeon “The Forked Towers,” you must find these quest-related survey points. The dungeon will only unlock after you complete the quest titled “Past and Crescent.”

Keep in mind that there is an extra survey point located in the Phantom Village on the west side, accessible by climbing the stairs, which is not featured on our South Horn map.
The numbered survey points correspond to specific quests, and it’s essential to gather them all.
While survey points are crucial, they only represent a portion of the occult records found in your handbook. Additional records can be acquired by completing critical encounters and various quests.
