Firstly, Henry needs to select three negative traits to navigate through the campaign. "Hangry Henry" increases his appetite significantly, while "Punchable Face" makes it harder for him to travel without attracting attacks. Other undesirable traits include "Sweaty," "Menace," and "Numbskull," none of which are particularly enticing.
Secondly, Henry’s location is no longer marked on the map, requiring players to deduce his whereabouts. There’s no option for fast travel, so familiarizing yourself with the landscape is crucial to survival. However, Henry can now inquire about directions from other travelers, provided his reputation and demeanor are favorable. Selecting "Bashful" as a negative trait means Henry is too shy to ask for directions.
The new Hardcore mode in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 doesn’t feature permadeath, but it promises a more challenging experience overall. For some players, the heightened difficulty could lead to greater satisfaction and a more immersive experience.
