        The announcement features a simple image showcasing the knight from the original <em>Oblivion</em> cover, layered with the Roman numeral IV — just to clarify, <em>Oblivion</em> is <em>The Elder Scrolls 4</em> — along with the date for tomorrow, April 22, and the start times for associated YouTube and Twitch streams.         Bethesda has indicated plans for something new related to <em>Oblivion</em> since at least 2023, when a remaster was mentioned in documents leaked during Microsoft’s legal proceedings with the Federal Trade Commission in relation to its acquisition of Activision. Industry insiders have been fueling speculation earlier this year as screenshots of the project appeared on the backend of the supposed remaster studio, Virtuos’ website, back in April. This morning also brought rumors of the game surfacing in Steam libraries.

        <em>The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion</em> was originally released in 2006. Currently, a sixth installment in the Elder Scrolls series is in development.
