Mastering Freezer Techniques in Blue Prince: A Guide to Freezing and Unfreezing

The Freezer is a unique area in Blue Prince where your currency becomes frozen, allowing you to carry it into your next run.

While your assets remain frozen in the Freezer, you cannot collect additional gems or gold. However, there are methods to thaw the Freezer and your assets, revealing deeper secrets and leading to new adventures.

In this guide for Blue Prince, we’ll explain how to unfreeze items in the Freezer, discuss the door within the Freezer, and detail what you’ll encounter there.

When you enter the Freezer, your gold and gems will automatically freeze. This means you cannot spend your existing currency or collect more in upcoming rooms.

You’ll see a thermometer icon in the bottom right corner of your screen. Additionally, you’ll find several frozen items on the shelves, a large ice chest ahead, and a frozen door to the left.

There are two main methods to unfreeze the items and the door in the Freezer.

However, the Freezer holds more than meets the eye.

The Freezer holds various currency items, which can be inconvenient since your currency is frozen, but useful if you choose to heat the room with the Furnace. The true treasures are found in the frozen room and the ice chest.

Inside the ice chest, you’ll discover a Prism Key, useful for navigating the house, as well as a letter from the Baron. This letter offers useful hints for solving the house’s picture puzzle and interpreting the resulting message.

Within the frozen room, you can acquire an Upgrade Disk for nearby terminals and a letter that helps you deduce the Admin Key required to access the terminal in Blackbridge Grotto, a permanent feature of the estate.
