The film centers on Bull, a mutt voiced by Adam Devine, who discovers he’s about to be neutered. Determined to make the most of his remaining time, he recruits a group of friends for one last adventurous escapade. If he can muster up the courage to express his feelings to Honey, the beautiful show dog living next door, it would be the perfect way to wrap up his unaltered life.
In the initial images, a whimsical dog world is revealed, featuring Honey playfully draping her fluffy tail over Bull’s face. The style is delightfully exaggerated, embodying the distinctive vision of Tartakovsky.
“I’m a fan of caricatured and exaggerated animation,” Tartakovsky shared with Netflix’s Tudum. “My approach was to find the right level of exaggeration. Initially conceived as an R-rated version of Lady and the Tramp, the film gradually developed its unique cartoon style as we progressed, thanks to talented 2D animators from around the globe.”
The voice cast includes Kathryn Hahn as Honey, Idris Elba as a boxer named Rocco, Bobby Moynihan as a dog named Lucky, and Fred Armisen as Fetch, an aspiring influencer dachshund. The movie, titled Fixed, will premiere on Netflix on August 13. Don’t miss the first look images available now.
