Razer has officially launched its powerful Blade 18 portable gaming desktop replacement today, but with an unexpected price increase from the initially announced $3,199.99. The base model, equipped with an RTX 5070 Ti graphics card, now has a new price of $3,499.99 — a $300 increase from what was revealed at CES earlier this year.
The Blade 18’s highest specification featuring the RTX 5090 also sees a significant $400 price hike, rising from $4,499.99 to $4,899.99. Additionally, Razer has introduced a new RTX 5080 configuration, which starts at $4,099.99. As for the reasoning behind these price increases, Razer has not provided any comments at the time of this publication.
In April, Razer briefly paused direct sales of its laptops just a day before the Trump administration announced tariffs that would raise costs for tech goods imported from countries like China and Taiwan, where many laptop components are sourced. At that time, Razer’s public relations manager, Andy Johnston, did not comment on the tariffs. Sales resumed over a week later, including the recently launched Blade 16 laptop.
You can now purchase the new Blade 18 directly from Razer’s website, with deliveries scheduled to begin on June 2nd. Customers can even opt for a fully loaded configuration featuring 4TB of storage and 64GB of RAM for $5,199.99 (note that RazerCare warranty is not included).
