Spotify Introduces 'Snooze' Feature for Songs...

Spotify is piloting a new feature called the “Snooze” button, which allows users to temporarily exclude a track from their recommendations if they need a break from it. This feature will be available for songs that you choose to hide, preventing them from appearing in your recommendations for a period of 30 days.

Currently, Spotify is testing the Snooze button with its Premium subscribers, but they have announced plans to roll it out to a broader audience soon. In conjunction with this feature, Spotify is also updating its Hide button, which will now remove a track from your playlists across all devices, not just the one where you made the selection.

The platform has also redesigned the queue feature for Premium users, incorporating new functionalities such as shuffle, smart shuffle, repeat, and a sleep timer. Additionally, subscribers will now be able to see Spotify’s recommended songs once their queued tracks conclude.

Furthermore, Spotify is enhancing playlist management on mobile devices by introducing Add, Sort, and Edit buttons at the top of each playlist. Users in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, and South Africa will now have the option to turn their liked songs into playlists, along with a Create button located in the bottom-right corner of the app for building and sharing playlists. Premium users can also utilize this Create button to enjoy music with friends and access AI-generated playlists.
