CADA, Sydney’s radio station within the Australian Radio Network (ARN), is facing backlash after disclosing that its show Workdays with Thy, broadcasted weekdays from 11 AM to 3 PM, was hosted by an AI persona.

For several months, CADA portrayed the show as being hosted by a woman named Thy, sharing her images across various platforms to enhance the perception of a real human presenter.

  • Listeners were misled by the promotion of her as a human.
  • No mention was made of the AI technology behind the persona.

This revelation has sparked significant outrage, with many questioning the ethical implications of using AI in such a misleading way, particularly without prior notification to the audience.
