OnePlus has unveiled the 13T, featuring a notably larger battery than many Ultra flagship models, all while maintaining a size similar to that of the iPhone 16 or Samsung Galaxy S25.
The 6.32-inch OLED display on the OnePlus 13T is described as “small” by the company, yet it slightly exceeds the screen sizes of both Apple’s and Samsung’s flagship devices. The 13T is overall larger and heavier than these competitors, though the differences are minimal. It’s worth noting that the screen is half an inch smaller than the standard OnePlus 13’s display, and the phone is almost an ounce lighter, making it relatively compact for the OnePlus lineup.
One of the standout features is the substantial 6,260mAh battery. This capacity surpasses that of the iPhone 16 (3,561mAh) and the Galaxy S25 (4,000mAh), and it even outdoes the larger OnePlus 13 (6,000mAh) and Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra (5,000mAh). This improvement is attributed to an upgraded version of the silicon-carbon technology used in the OnePlus 13, allowing for more energy to be packed into smaller cells compared to traditional lithium-ion batteries.
A significant change for OnePlus is the removal of the iconic alert slider, which has been replaced with a customizable shortcut button. This button can manage notification volume and also has the capability to open specific applications, take screenshots, or activate AI features. This new key was previously featured on the Oppo Find X8 Ultra and is anticipated to replace the alert slider in future OnePlus models.
Additionally, the OnePlus 13T is equipped with the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset found in the 13, offering up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It boasts a redesigned rear camera with two 50-megapixel sensors — a main sensor and a 2x telephoto lens — and features 80W wired charging to quickly replenish the sizable battery, though it lacks wireless charging capabilities.
The starting price for the 13T in China is set at CNY3,399 (approximately $466) when it launches next week, making it about $100 less expensive than the standard 13. However, OnePlus has yet to announce any plans for releasing the device in other markets.
