Ultimate Blue Prince Guide: Discover Every Microchip Location

Here is a revised version of the content:

In the game Blue Prince, you might not initially realize the importance of Microchips. Although they aren’t essential for progressing to Room 46, they play a significant role in the post-credits mystery and storyline.

Your introduction to the Microchips occurs once you explore Blackbridge Grotto, which is one of the game’s Permanent Additions. There are three Microchips to find, and obtaining all three allows you to solve a puzzle.

Our guide for Blue Prince will help you locate each Microchip and provide instructions on how to utilize them effectively. [Editor’s note: Spoilers for Blue Prince are present.]

How to Access Blackbridge Grotto in Blue Prince

To unlock Blackbridge Grotto, a significant addition in Blue Prince, you must first solve the Laboratory puzzles. This involves drafting both the Laboratory and the Boiler Room, routing power to the Laboratory, and tackling the periodic table puzzle to unlock the machinery solution in the corner. Our Laboratory puzzles guide can assist you with this task.

Finding the First Microchip in Blue Prince

Once Blackbridge Grotto is accessible, you’ll find the first Microchip. Go out through the front door and head left towards the Campsite or the Apple Orchard. As you proceed, a newly opened door will appear on your left, leading to Blackbridge Grotto.

Inside, you’ll discover a pedestal with three overlapping circles. The smallest circle contains the first Microchip. If you pick it up, just place it back—it belongs right there.

Clues for Microchip #2 and #3 in Blue Prince

To discover the remaining Microchips, you need to uncover some clues. A book titled A New Clue is the perfect place to start. To access it, draft a Bookstore and purchase it for 50 coins. Once you have a Library, you can check out the book and read it during your next Library visit.

In A New Clue, pay attention to two specific details. The first is an illustration on page 15 (starting count from the title page), depicting the protagonist on a grid resembling Mount Holly. A vase and sledgehammer accompany the protagonist in the square corresponding to the Entrance Hall.

A more complex clue exists on page 6 (from the title page). Numbers subtly hidden within the text guide you to look at words numbered from 1 to 12. This forms the clue: “All checked corner case rooms had a low case clue found in the rooms.”

Page 5 features a list labeled "Corner Cases," naming six rooms. Four of these rooms have checkmarks. Within these rooms, search for notes containing a specific word in lowercase. These clues lead you to: “Buried beside west bridge.”

Below, we detail locations for the second and third Microchips.

Finding the Second Microchip in Blue Prince

Using the information from A New Clue, discover the second Microchip by taking a Sledgehammer to the Entrance Hall. On the south side, look for a couple of vases. Smashing them reveals the second Microchip.

Finding the Third Microchip in Blue Prince

According to clues from A New Clue, the last Microchip is buried beside the west bridge—the small bridge on your way to the Outer Room along the West Path, accessible via the Garage.

First, grab a Shovel. While heading towards the Outer Room, veer right (north) off the path. A dig icon will appear, indicating the spot to uncover the third Microchip.

Microchips Solution and Reward in Blue Prince

Once all Microchips are collected, return them to Blackbridge Grotto. Placing all three triggers a cutscene and opens a new door at the server room’s back.

Follow the staircase through the Orindian Ruins to find the blueprint for the Throne Room at the end.
