Vampire Survivors Expands Cross-Platform Save Sharing, Excludes PlayStation Users

Vampire Survivors has officially introduced cross-saves today, though they are initially unavailable on PlayStation due to a "legal issue," with only a "very slim" possibility of reaching the platform.

According to a Steam post by Poncle, the game’s developer, they had previously announced that cross-saves would be rolled out for PlayStation 4/5, PC, Xbox, Android, and iOS alongside the upcoming free VS update in April. However, an unforeseen legal complication with PlayStation, involving the sharing of partner information that Poncle is unable to disclose, has hindered these plans. As a result, while the possibility of implementing cross-saves on PlayStation is limited, efforts to resolve the issue in collaboration with PlayStation are ongoing.

Neither Poncle nor PlayStation have responded to requests for comment at this time.

Cross-saves are currently functional on Android, iOS, PC, and Xbox, and will be available for the Nintendo Switch version of Vampire Survivors "at a later date." Additionally, Poncle is considering extending this feature to the Apple Arcade version, provided it can be done without violating any privacy agreements.

For instructions on enabling cross-saves, refer to Poncle’s guide. It is important to note that cross-saves require manual syncing, so you must save and load your data across platforms manually.

In conjunction with the cross-saves announcement, Poncle has unveiled a free Vampire Survivors DLC expansion themed around Square Enix’s Saga franchise, titled Emerald Diorama, and a chicken-themed update for the main game, humorously named “The Coop.”
